M16 Shorty
This started life as a CAR 15, but it met a tree. When I got hold of it it was in a sorry state. The barrel had been sawn off and the upper receiver was cracked through. I've tidied it up and replaced some of the broken bits. I've added an M4 flash-hider and pistol grip and there's an MP5 barrel inside. This is my main side arm, and during skirmishes it sits in a Blackhawk strap on my belt, with a 190 hi cap in it as their small size stops the gun snagging in the woods.

This gun is amazingly good for CQB as it can easily be used pistol fashion. Size wise it sits between the MP5 K and MP5 A5, but it gets to use 300 round hi caps. Basically the gun is 40% longer than a K with 100% more barrel. In the village at Chobham this gun rules, and takes the opposition by surprise everytime. It lacks the range for use in more open country, but when my main gun goes down it is a real lifesaver.
Length: 450mm
Weight: ??
Barrel: 227mm
Hi cap: 300
The rate of fire from this gun is excellent and it's never let me down yet, even when I've rolled and crawled around in the woods all day. The lack of a fore sight is not a problem though I'm tempted to get a red dot for this gun as it may make it even more effective, though I'd only use this in CQB, and not when it was on my belt. I think I may also put in a TN barrel for extra range.

I'm collecting parts for the 'Mark II'..based on an M4 receiver, this gun will have the capability to be changed from a pistol weapon to a long barreled field weapon between games. The flash-hider will be replaced with a silencer, a sliding stock screwed on and a longer barrel put in (and run through the silencer)...add a scope, hey presto..rifle.!!
